Since am not a Dubai resident and I love to break the routine with my beloved mother, I usually book a room during the weekend in Dubai or Abu Dhabi to spend some quality time and Oberoi hotel is one of the hotels, I have recently loved for various reasons which will be listed below. Oberoi hotel an icon of Indian luxury as Oberoi group of hotels are considered famous and most luxurious founded by Mr. Oberoi with their first branch in Dubai opened in 2013 which is considered a five star hotel.
Oberoi Hotel is located in the Oberoi Centre, Business Bay(Burj Area). Unfortunately, I disliked the area as it was full of buildings and it was hardly recognizable from distance which sometimes lead to confusion but oh well thanks to google maps.
For the rooms I have booked the deluxe double room with pool view. It was quite spacious, comfortable and I loved everything about it. When it came to the decoration it was bright and uplifting especially the toilet. As for the hotel facilities what I loved the most was that the room is accessible through the room card key through the elevator. Certain hotels implement the same system but I hope it spreads 100% across all UAE hotels. In addition what my mother loved the most is that you can check in and the payment can be done from the room and avoiding going to the reception with the hassle of the check out queues.
Experience not to be missed:
I wanted a break from our usual hectic workdays routine so to continue my experience of relaxation I decided also to go for the spa. Their spa is really out of this world from the minute you step in through the doorway all the sense of fatigue disappears. Truly enjoyed my relaxing and pampering experience.
Nine 7 One:
One of the reasons made me stay at #oberoidubai was to experience the restaurants in the hotel specially #Nine7One; Friday brunch and it was a spectacular experience I asked them to give me a tour at the kitchen just to explore their dragon breathe dessert which is actually passion fruit meringue dehydrated for 48 hours. Also it was great experience to meet the staff the hidden soldiers while they were explaining the process of this dessert in the kitchen.
After the Friday brunch, I decided also to have my breakfast the next day in Nine 7 One. Breakfast buffet always make me go round and round like a fat kid in a cupcake store *wink* . Loved the variety of Mediterranean and Indian breakfast dishes, they also have gluten free options available. Yet, what I loved the most, was the youth creative fountain and the attractive concept of presenting juices in a healthy way.
Since I stayed in Oberoi for the weekend, for the dinner options I had to chose one spot and I was confused between two restaurants; Japanese restaurant Umai and the Indian restaurant Ananta. Of course, I chose the Indian since the hotel is an Indian brand chain. Ananta is one of the award winning restaurants in Dubai and having a meal there is literally taking a journey in the Indian cuisine. It is the hallmark of The Oberoi experience; the authentic Indian restaurant features a show kitchen with traditional tandoors which are the focal point of the restaurant. I also made sure to try the classics and modern dishes such as Tali for classic and for modern Dosas stuffed with chocolate, it was crispy and flavorful.
All In All:
The moment I step down from my car I got the special luxury welcome to the moment I checked out was refreshing experience with luxury spice with it, Definitely worth the visit for end of the weekend break.
